It's that time of the year again, pickling season, or maybe we should call it a festival (sure has those vibes!). The women gather to wash, cut, and dry the fruit in the sun, filling the air with the sweet-sour aroma of the tender fruit. There is a sense of urgency on the farm as they go about this arduous task, carefully & meticulously mixing the spices, ensuring the highest level of hygiene, adding in some fragrant oils as preservative and most importantly, keeping us away from the courtyard where all the action takes place, lest we sample the fruit of their labour too soon! Indian courtyards in summers display a variety of vegetables washed, cut and placed out to dry for the pickling process. Indian women can pickle just about anything that comes their way. This is the true essence of Bharat- the auburn pottery jars resting in the sun, loaded to the brim with spicy-tangy mixes, their aromatic flavours wafting over, beckoning everyone to plunge their fingers in and taste the hot-fiery blend.
Sticking to its roots, Barosi provides you their Green Chilli Pickle, handcrafted with love and the perfect amount of spicy punch for your meals. A wonderful combination of ancestral spices and recipe, created with fresh, fiery, whole chillies and pickled with mustard oil - the spicy-tangy flavour adds an extra zing to your tastebuds. We bottle our pickles in glass jars to preserve their unique flavours and allow them to be savoured all year. Try a splash of our Green Chilli pickle with every meal possible.
